Publishing my first book with such personal material is the fulfillment of a dream for me. This work has been in my bottom drawer for over a decade. From time to time I would take it out, wish that I had the gumption and the know-how to put it into the public sphere … then put it back into the drawer because I got too busy with my job.
This last year of working with my publisher, Balboa Press, has been a most pleasurable learning curve. As a novice to publishing I had a lot to learn, and I appreciate the professionalism and understanding of the Balboa staff, especially with respect to my time-demanding job, which leaves little space for personal pursuits.
