A ripper of a novel, set in the university dorms of a Sydney university and covering topical issues around entitlement, sexual consent and ethical behaviour which have been rife in the Australian press over the last couple of years. If not a game-changer, then definitely a conversation-starter … or more accurately, a conversation-continuer, as the #metoo – misogyny – modern feminism conversation is not new to 2021, when this book was released. I definitely needed time to process the content and its many-layered implications: a highly impressive debut novel that I thoroughly recommend.
I hope you enjoy my review!
